About Our Little XC Ski Area

The trail system at Brookhaven has been 25 years in the making. A passion for downhill skiing brought us to Alpine Meadows Road and the wonderful community ski mountain there.  When the area closed in 1993 I focused my energy on creating a cross country ski trail network.  In the years since, trails have been added and removed and recently have grown to take advantage of the Town of Greenfield’s Brookhaven Park and can now boast nearly 9 miles of groomed ski and snowshoe trails as well as a full service restaurant on the weekends.

Snow, Snow, Snow!

Locals know that the basin just east of the Kayaderosseras Range where Brookhaven is located is a snowy micro climate.  Elevation and upsloping give us an average of 90 inches per year, 50% more than Saratoga Springs (64”) or Albany (60”) in the past 20+ years. This allows us to ski into April on most years.
